Verde Events manages an important annual client-facing forum with an engaging evening event for several hundred people. At a recent client forum, Verde Events had 90 minutes to flip the National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. from a day-time operational museum open to the public to an exciting private evening event with many moving parts.

Verde Events managed the venue, food and beverage, décor, entertainment and transportation seamlessly. In order to successfully transform the museum in a short timeframe, Verde Events managed detailed timelines and orchestrated a load in and load out schedule with the museum, its docks and all of its vendors.

The museum closed its doors to the public at 5:30pm.  At this moment, Verde Events commenced set up of all vendors. Verde’s team worked closely with the venue to ensure all the necessary staff had arrived and were inside the building before doors closed so security could do their sweep promptly at that time. As décor was being placed, F&B was being set up, lighting was tested, entertainment dressed in their costumes and performed sound checks.

Verde Events transportation team monitored to ensure the event was “doors open” ready and directed the dispatch of the coaches to the museum. Verde Events coordinated everything, so it was timed out to perfection like a well-oiled machine. At 7:00pm, the first coach arrived with guests entering on the ground floor, while on the third floor, the décor team had just removed their final ladder. 

Guests entered an entertaining tribute to American history, not knowing that it was a completely different look minutes prior. Key stakeholders shared that the evening was one of the best events Verde Events had coordinated. Their clients were equally thrilled with the experience because not only was the theme of the night engaging, but it allowed for the perfect balance of entertainment and networking.
