Global Incentive
Excellence in Crisis Response
Verde Events contracted a private charter on the Danube River with a port call in Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest for an annual incentive trip. Only three months prior to cruise operations, terrorist bombings took place in Paris. Verde Events proactively reached out to the client to immediately advise State Department advisories and the challenges with European travel in the current international climate. Verde Events adeptly negotiated the private cruise charter from a full cancellation to a one-year delay with only a slight penalty.
Within two weeks following the attacks, the exciting alternative of an incentive trip to Panama was presented. Within 60 days, the entire Panama program was created, site inspected, and registration launched. The client and attendees were grateful for the destination pivot and the alternate program was a huge success.
Additionally, the following year when the cruise operated, Verde Events developed and expertly executed a disaster/emergency plan for the safety of the attendees and staff. In order to add another level of travel confidence, Verde Events partnered with both international trip insurers and an international security management company to add five Safety Advisors to the Danube cruise. The insurance policy gave the client financial confidence that insurance would cover any potential issue that could arise. The five professional Safety Advisors gave the incentive group the trust they could enjoy the trip without concern.
Verde Events’ strong supplier relationships and industry expertise turned this difficult decision to cancel 90 days out into a “win-win” for all involved.
Furthermore, proven disaster and emergency plans are part of Verde Events’ standard operation procedure. No matter the type of emergency, Verde Events delivers effectively and flawlessly to ensure the safety of all attendees and guests.
